With out taking sides on the matter and only focusing on the fact that yahoo will give confidential information to a government, in this particular case to a foreign government .. but foreign or not, people needs to know or start to care about all this tools they use in the internet with out thinking in the political seeds they are helping create giving this corporations their power in popularity and market share.. think twice before using yahoo/google/myspace and such corporate manipulatory tools and such..

NATO agreements make European countries into logistical hubs for the US military. Through our ports, airports and highways the US war machine is transported to Iraq. And our own military is involved in Afghanistan as well. Iraq was invaded and Iran threatened because they are supposed to have, or to be developing weapons of mass destruction. Meanwhile NATO has 350 US nuclear weapons deployed in Germany, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK and Turkey. According to international humanitarian law these weapons are as illegal here as elsewhere.

School of Americas Graduates Implicated in Bogotá Bombings

A director of Colombian military intelligence and another officer
implicated in a series of false attacks and a bombing that killed a
civilian and injured 19 soldiers in Bogotá in 2006, attended the US
Army School of the Americas, an examination of records shows.

The Colombian Public Ministry is investigating Colonel Horacio
Arbelaez, former director of the Army's Joint Intelligence Center;
Major Javier Efrén Hermida Benavides; and Captain Luis Eduardo Barrero

The kidnap and torture program of the Bush administration, with its secret CIA “black site” prisons and “torture taxi” flights on private jets, saw a little light of day this week. I spoke to Mohamed Farag Ahmad Bashmilah in his first broadcast interview. Bashmilah was a victim of the CIA’s so-called extraordinary rendition program, in which people are grabbed from their homes, out of airports, off the streets, and are whisked away, far from the prying eyes of the U.S. Congress, the press, far from the reach of the courts, to countries where cruelty and torture are routine.
